There are several reasons why you may benefit from seeing a Support Coordinator, these include:

What is Support Coordination?
Support Coordination is a service funded through the NDIS to assist participants who need additional assistance with their implementation. Our Support Coordinators help guide you through the NDIS by assisting you with understanding and activating your. Support Coordinators can assist with; helping you understand your NDIS plan, annually reviewing your plan and setting goals, supporting you to coordinate your services with providers, support you to obtain quotes for services from the relevant providers, support you to liaise with the NDIA and other relevant agencies, develop your skills so you can take control of your plan in the future.
Who can access Spinal Life Support Coordination services?
Support Coordination is an NDIS funded service and is available to customers with an NDIS package. If a customer requires Support Coordination and they are not eligible for NDIS, sometimes other funding providers will fund this service through our Support Coordination team. Most of our customers are decision makers over the age of 18. We do also provide services to children. Our Customer Engagement team can assist in providing information about all options available including support through our Advocacy team.

Our Support Coordination team offers unique insight, expertise and professionalism backed by state-wide resources to help you navigate the NDIS. Our focus is on developing an individual’s capacity and skills to live and manage their own lives. We do this by providing personally tailored information and healthcare services, employment, community, and in-home personal care services.
Where is Support Coordination offered?
We offer Support Coordination throughout Queensland and have just started a service in Perth. We provide Support Coordination from our Brisbane (SEQ including Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Logan and Ipswich and surrounds) Rockhampton (including south to Bundaberg), Cairns and Perth offices.
Do you only offer Support Coordination to people with spinal cord damage?
Spinal Life Australia assist customers who live with spinal cord injury or neurological conditions which affect mobility. How long will it take before Support Coordination sessions can start?
The Customer Engagement team will assist you with your initial questions and if you are eligible you will be allocated a specific Support Coordinator. This process can take a couple of weeks, during which time the Customer Engagement team can assist with your initial plan set up and engaging any urgent services.
