We are reaching out to anyone who may be affected by BlueCare’s announcement that they will be ceasing NDIS community services from December 2023, which includes nursing, allied health and personal support.
We understand how important these services are in your daily lives, and wanted to get in touch and offer our assistance if needed.
Below are details about Spinal Life’s services and where you can find us.
Community Nursing
We currently offer Community Nursing from the Healthy Living Centres in Cairns and Brisbane. Our nurses also conduct home visits in Cairns, Brisbane and surrounding areas (approximately 40km radius from our offices) and provide telehealth consultations wherever possible.
Allied Health Services
We offer Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Allied Health Assistance from the Healthy Living Centres in Cairns and Brisbane. In addition, we offer Occupational Therapy from our dedicated offices in Bundaberg, Rockhampton and Townsville.
Our Occupational Therapists also conduct home visits in Cairns, Brisbane, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Townsville, Sunshine Coast and surrounds, including from Hervey Bay to Gladstone and west of these regions. The team offers telehealth consultations wherever possible.
Personal Support and Home Care
Spinal Life provides highly trained Personal Support Workers in regions across Queensland, if you need assistance in your home, at work or in the community. This includes personal care such as showering, dressing, skin checks and bowel therapy if required, as well as housework and domestic duties or assistance to attend events, shopping and other daily activities.
